Mary Walsh, Guardian

Mary is a diversity and inclusion specialist with over 20 years experience 
in diversity and inclusion (D&I) and HR.


Mary led the D&I strategy for HSBC Retail Bank’s 53,000 UK employees and has a strong record in influencing at a senior level, and managing and mediating often complex and challenging issues.


I feel very strongly about fairness at 
work, and treating people with respect.


Mary says: “I became a Guardian as I feel very strongly about fairness at work and that all people should be treated with respect. I have a background of working with diversity and making the business case for inclusion.
