He works closely with the National Guardian Office promoting and organising presentations and attending national training events and was the regional lead for the Freedom To Speak Up Southwest Group, supporting, advising and training the network of Guardians around the country. Wayne’s ten years experience as a union representative provides a comprehensive insight and understanding of policies, procedures and people concerns, as well employment law issues.
It is important that staff can speak up without fear.
Wayne says: “I became a Guardian to support and give confidence to staff of all positions who feel they have nowhere to turn and believe there are no alternatives. It is important to support them to speak up without fear and to work in an open, honest environment.”
