Steve is an experienced educational leader with more than 30 years' service across teaching, senior leadership and headship.

Across all leadership roles, Steven has prioritised psychological safety, clear communication and the development of positive, high‑trust cultures.

He has supported students, families and colleagues through complex situations, always working to build cultures grounded in safety, professionalism and authentic kindness.

Steve says: "Speaking up is essential to a healthy workplace. When concerns are shared early, organisations can respond quickly, protect wellbeing and strengthen the culture for everyone. As a Guardian, my role is to ensure staff feel encouraged to speak up, knowing their voice will be heard, taken seriously and supported.
