We are committed to corporately and socially responsible (CSR) business practices and believe that companies that can do more, should. This means we take account of our social, economic and environmental impact.
CSR is good for the planet, our employees, and communities. That’s why we remain focused on five key pillars of our CSR Strategy, please click the segments to understand more about each of our pillars:
Our CSR Pillars
We are proud to be a Disability Confident accredited employer, reflecting our commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible and supportive environment for all.
We actively champion equal opportunities, remove barriers to employment, and value the unique strengths and perspectives that disabled colleagues bring to our organisation. This commitment is embedded in our culture and aligns with our role as a trusted, ethical service ensuring every member of our team feels respected, empowered, and able to thrive.
Our impact through the micro-lending platform, Kiva, supports people who are globally unbanked and living in underserved communities.
By supporting a diverse spread of borrowers across multiple regions, we contribute to opportunities that help people improve their livelihoods and build financial stability. Through Kiva, individuals can access small loans that enable them to grow a business, support their families, invest in their future, or overcome financial barriers that would otherwise limit their potential. This kind of support helps empower people to create long‑term, sustainable change in their own communities.
As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, The Guardian Service is proud to partner with Ecologi through our Climate Workforce subscription.
This initiative enables us to fund high‑impact climate solutions every month, including global reforestation, peatland restoration, clean water access, and methane‑reduction projects. To date, our Climate Workforce partnership has supported the planting of hundreds of trees and contributed to verified carbon‑avoidance projects worldwide, helping us meaningfully reduce our environmental footprint and advance our ambition toward Net Zero by 2050. This commitment forms a core part of our CSR strategy and reflects our dedication to taking measurable, science‑based climate action that benefits both people and planet.
Living Wage accredited employer
We’re proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer for the third year running, demonstrating our continued commitment to fair pay and the wellbeing of our people. Letting our actions speak for themselves, we remain dedicated to championing ethical employment standards across our organisation and the wider community.
