Consistent policies

We will appraise all your speaking up policies, aligning them, bringing them up to best practice standards and rationalising them.

Engaging across the system we will gain buy-in into a shared, system wide policy that will drive consistency and simplify the speaking up process for everyone. This is  particularly effective in primary care and is another means of encouraging collaboration and support across providers.

Effective escalation

We will work with system leaders and providers to develop a system wide escalation path. This becomes part of our contractual requirements enabling leaders to demonstrate that they are being held to account in responding to speaking up matters. This also provides assurance to the workforce that speaking up results in action.
